As the Essex area’s first choice supply and fit company, Daniel James Flooring stocks a wide range of Amtico products that can single-handedly lift an interior’s aesthetic, while proving hardwearing and functional.
In this latest blog post, we’ve looked to provide a complete guide to Amtico flooring. We hope it’ll help both prospective customers around Essex who are still unsure to make an informed purchasing decision, as well as those already in possession of Amtico products better understand their flooring.
The Benefits
Strength – Amtico is engineered from layers of heat-compressed material, making it exceptionally strong and resilient.
Maintenance – As you’ll see below, Amtico flooring is low maintenance and easy to clean. It can also be easily fix as individually damaged tiles can be lifted out and repaired or replaced.
Comfort – Another reason behind Amtico’s popularity throughout Essex and its surrounds is that their products are warm and soft underfoot, proving a pleasure to use.
Versatility – There are literally hundreds of designs that Amtico offer, giving you a massive amount of choice; you’ll be sure to find something that matches your vision.
The Collections
There are three main Amtico collections our Essex customers have to choose from.
Amtico Signature Collection – This collection contains over 180 unique products, all manufactured with the same commitment to quality. They come with 25 residential warranties, and 15 year commercial warranties.
Amtico Spacia Collection – Tailored to excel in high traffic areas, this 89 product collection combines hard-wearing functionality with attractive aesthetics; tiles either emulate natural materials, or pursue something a bit more abstract.
Amtico Click Smart Collection – Ideal for DIY enthusiasts who just wish to buy a product, not have it installed by professionals, these tiles are simple to click into place and do not require adhesives. Six designs are available to choose from.
Cleaning
We’d urge Essex customers to sweep frequently and mop occasionally to keep their Amtico flooring looking its best. However, heavy foot traffic can obviously lead to an excess if not carefully monitored! In these cases, the manufacturer recommends the use of an Amtico Floorcare Stripper once a year, which will quickly and efficiently banish any ingrained dirt.
Sealing
So, you might wonder: do I need to seal my Amtico flooring? Well, while all Amtico flooring products come with a factory UV cured PU finish, which ensures it’s hardwearing and resistant to scratching and general wear and tear, you do have the option of topical sealing that can provide further durability. If you’re an Essex client whose Amtico is positioned in an area anticipating high levels of foot traffic, a regular reapplication of an official Amtico dressing is recommended; the floor can also receive a permanent PU sealant that lasts upward of 3 years, or be stripped and resealed.
